# John Jacob Jr.’s Wednesday NCBA Power Rankings
**By John Jacob Jr. | NCBA News**
The NCBA preseason has grown to 17 players, but only five make this week's Power Rankings.
These rankings measure **performance during the past week**, not overall rating or season reputation.
And this week produced some major changes.
## 1. Easton ↑1
**Last Week: #2**
**This Week: 6–0**
There isn't much debate about #1 this week.
Easton went a perfect **6–0** across Monday and Wednesday.
Monday brought victories over William, Logan and Samuel. Wednesday added wins over Triston, Crosby and Houston.
The Triston victory was particularly important after Triston had upset Easton P..
Easton has now won **seven consecutive matches**, owns a +21 overall ball differential and has exploded to **716 rating points**.
He didn't just take #1 in the Power Rankings.
He created significant distance at #1 in the official standings.

## 2. Logan — NEW
**Last Week: Not Ranked**
**This Week: 6–2**
What a turnaround.
Logan entered the week looking like one of the preseason's biggest disappointments.
He leaves it looking like last season's championship runner-up again.
Logan went **3–1 Monday**, including a 6–3 upset over Ari.
Then he went **3–1 again Wednesday**, defeating Samuel, Ari and—most importantly—**#2 Connor in a 6–5 upset while Logan was ranked #9**.
Logan has gone **6–2 this week** and climbed to #5 in the official standings.
His **+15 overall ball differential** also suggests this isn't just a lucky streak.
Logan is back.

## 3. Connor ↓2
**Last Week: #1**
**This Week: 3–1**
Connor falls two spots, but this was hardly a bad week.
Monday may have produced the most impressive close-game performance of anyone in the NCBA.
Connor survived **two double tiebreaks**, defeating Ari and Triston after neither regulation nor the first tiebreak could settle the matches.
Ari came within one ball of winning before Connor completed the comeback.
Wednesday, Connor defeated Triston 6–5 before Logan finally handed him a 6–5 loss.
Connor remains #2 officially at **10–3 with 549 points**.
He falls here only because Easton and Logan had extraordinary weeks.

## 4. Triston ↓1
**Last Week: #3**
**This Week: 3–3**
Triston continues to be difficult to evaluate.
He defeated Ari again Monday and beat Crosby and Samuel during the week.
He also took Connor through a double tiebreak.
But losses to Connor, Easton and William prevented him from matching the players above him.
Still, Triston remains #3 in the official standings and has now played **24 preseason matches**, more than anyone near the top.
His ability to threaten elite players remains unquestioned.
The next step is consistency.

## 5. Daniel — NEW
**Last Week: Not Ranked**
**This Week: 2–2**
Daniel sneaks into the fifth spot after an encouraging week.
He picked up victories over Samuel and Crosby on Monday before losing close 6–5 and 6–4 matches to Rylee and Seth on Wednesday.
A 2–2 week isn't spectacular, but Daniel showed enough to edge out several other candidates for the final position.
With only five total preseason matches, there is still a lot we don't know.

## Dropped From Last Week
### Ari — Last Week: #4
Ari falls completely out of the Top 5.
After previously producing the preseason's incredible seven-game winning streak, this week went in the opposite direction.
Ari finished the week **1–5**.
He lost to Connor, Triston, Logan twice and newcomer Kinsey. His only victory came in a tiebreak against Dravon.
Ari has fallen to **#10 in the official standings with 165 points** after once reaching #1 and 500.
The talent hasn't disappeared.
The results have.
### Samuel — Last Week: #5
Samuel also drops out.
He did produce another major upset by defeating Logan 6–4 while ranked #12, proving once again that the "Miracles on Carpet" can appear without warning.
But one upset couldn't overcome the rest of the week.
Samuel now sits at **5–15**, has lost three straight and is back at the **0-point floor**.
Last week's four-game comeback briefly put him into the Power Rankings.
This week sends him back out.
## This Week's Top 5
**1. Easton ↑1**
**2. Logan — NEW**
**3. Connor ↓2**
**4. Triston ↓1**
**5. Daniel — NEW**
**Dropped: Ari (#4), Samuel (#5)**
Easton owned the week.
Logan revived his preseason.
Connor survived everything except Logan.
Triston remained dangerous.
Daniel broke through.
And with only one more Wednesday remaining before the preseason ends, there may be only one Power Rankings edition left before the results begin to count toward the regular season.
