The preseason is over.

The regular season has begun.

And the NCBA wasted absolutely no time creating chaos.

**Triston captured The Bed Co. Opening Day Tournament**, defeating Easton 6–5 in the championship match to claim the first tournament title of the regular season.

Meanwhile, Easton became the first player in NCBA history to surpass **1,000 rating points**, Ari surged eight positions after another collection of major wins, and Easton and Connor suddenly turned their long-awaited matchup into a four-game head-to-head series.

## Triston Is a Tournament Champion

Throughout preseason, one question followed Triston.

Was he simply an upset specialist—or could he consistently win when the stakes were highest?

We now have an answer.

Triston entered The Bed Co. Opening Day Tournament as the **#3 seed**.

He opened against #6 Dravon and won **6–3**.

Then came Ari, who had just eliminated #2 Connor.

Triston won **6–4**.

That sent him into the championship against #1 Easton.

The final came down to one ball.

**Triston 6, Easton 5.**

The victory completed a perfect **3–0 tournament run** and gave Triston the Bed Co. Opening Day Tournament championship.

After spending preseason repeatedly knocking off highly ranked players, Triston has now turned those upset performances into hardware.

The giant killer is officially a champion.

## Easton Goes 5–2 and Breaks 1,000

Easton entered the tournament as the #1 seed.

He defeated Daniel 6–3 in the quarterfinals and survived Logan 6–5 in the semifinals before losing 6–5 to Triston in the championship.

Outside the tournament, Easton went **3–1**.

He defeated Crosby **6–0**, producing the maximum possible six-ball margin, and went **2–1 against Connor** during three matches between the league's top two players.

Combined, Easton finished Opening Day **5–2**.

His overall record climbs from 18–5 to **23–7**, with a league-leading **+35 ball differential and 1,038 rating points**.

That makes Easton the **first NCBA player to break the 1,000-point barrier**.

The tournament championship escaped him.

The #1 ranking did not.

## Ari Knocks Connor Out

The biggest upset of the tournament came immediately.

Connor entered as the **#2 seed**.

Ari entered #7.

Ari won **6–4**.

The victory eliminated Connor in the quarterfinals and continued one of the strangest trends in the NCBA: no matter how far Ari falls in the standings, he remains capable of beating almost anyone.

Triston eventually eliminated Ari 6–4 in the semifinal.

Outside the tournament, Ari defeated Triston in a massive upset and also defeated Kinsey 6–4.

Ari finished Opening Day **3–1 overall**.

He is now **15–14 with 263 points**, jumping eight positions from #13 to #5.

## Easton vs. Connor Suddenly Has Four Chapters

For most of preseason, Easton and Connor occupied the top two positions without ever playing each other.

Then they finally met on September 9.

Easton won **6–5**.

Opening Day brought **three more meetings**.

Easton won another **6–5** battle.

Connor responded with a **6–3 victory**.

Easton then answered with a decisive **6–2 win**.

The head-to-head now stands:

**Easton 3–1 Connor.**

Four matches have already produced three different scores, and Connor has proven he can beat the league's #1 player.

What began as a rivalry based largely on rankings now has plenty of actual history behind it.

## Connor Goes 5–3 Despite Tournament Exit

Connor's first-round tournament loss to Ari could have defined his day.

Instead, he played seven additional matches and recovered.

Connor defeated Samuel twice, beat Dravon in a tiebreak, defeated Triston **6–2**, and earned a **6–3 victory over Easton**.

His other two losses came against Easton.

Including the tournament defeat, Connor finished Opening Day **5–3**.

His overall record is now **15–8 with 548 points**, keeping him comfortably at #2.

The tournament result was disappointing.

The response afterward showed why Connor remains one of the strongest players in the NCBA.

## Logan Finishes 2–2

Logan entered the tournament as the #4 seed and defeated Seth **6–2** in the quarterfinal.

Then came Easton.

Logan had already proven he could beat the #1 player during preseason, but this time Easton escaped **6–5**.

Outside tournament play, Logan and Triston split two matches. Logan won 6–5 before Triston answered 6–3.

That gave Logan a **2–2 Opening Day record**.

He remains #4 overall at **13–12 with 301 points and a +17 ball differential**.

## Triston Goes 4–3—and Wins the One That Matters Most

Triston's entire Opening Day perfectly captured the kind of player he has become.

In tournament play: **3–0 and champion**.

Outside the tournament: **1–3**.

He defeated Logan 6–3 but lost to Logan 6–5, Ari 6–4 and Connor 6–2.

That left Triston **4–3 overall for the day**.

Yet when elimination was on the line, he didn't lose once.

His overall record improves to **17–14**, and his rating climbs to **424**, firmly establishing him at #3.

## Houston Continues to Impress

Houston remains one of the league's most interesting newer players.

After taking Easton to a tiebreak in his debut and later defeating Ari, Houston added a **6–4 upset over Amos**.

He is now **2–1 with 262 points** and has climbed to #6.

The sample remains small.

The results continue to look good.

## Two Players Remain at Zero

Daniel and Samuel finish Opening Day at the NCBA's 0-point floor.

Daniel is now **2–6 with a -11 differential and five consecutive losses**.

Samuel sits at **5–17 with a -27 differential and five straight losses**.

Samuel nearly produced another escape against Connor in a 6–5 loss, but the "Miracle on Carpet" never arrived.

## The Regular Season Has Arrived

The latest top five:

**1. Easton — 1,038 (23–7)**
**2. Connor — 548 (15–8)**
**3. Triston — 424 (17–14)**
**4. Logan — 301 (13–12)**
**5. Ari — 263 (15–14)**

The regular season began with a statement.

Triston went **3–0 when it mattered most** and became a tournament champion.

Easton went **5–2**, finished runner-up and became the first 1,000-point player.

Connor recovered from a first-round exit to finish **5–3**.

Ari went **3–1** and jumped eight positions.

Logan went **2–2** and remains firmly inside the top four.

And after waiting nearly the entire preseason for Easton and Connor to meet, they have suddenly played four times.

If Opening Day is any indication, preseason may have only been the warm-up.
