The NCBA’s recent quiet stretch could soon be over.
After an absence marked by stalled match recording and declining interest in carpet ball, league leadership is hoping to resume operations as early as Wednesday, October 7, or Monday, October 12.
Speaking during a press conference, NCBA President Easton P. explained that nobody had been willing to record matches while he was absent. At the same time, fewer people were showing interest in playing.
Now, that interest is beginning to return.
“Carpet ball lost popularity, but now it is on the rise again,” Easton P. said.
That renewed enthusiasm gives the NCBA a possible opening to get organized competition and recorded results moving again. Both proposed restart dates remain targets rather than confirmed announcements.
The league also has a new presence on stonks.com, a simulated stock-trading website where users can trade fictional stocks.
Easton P. said the NCBA was honored to be featured on the platform, adding another development to a period that could mark the league’s return to regular activity.
One operational question remains unresolved: who will record matches when the president is unavailable?
“We are currently discussing that,” Easton P. said.
Finding a dependable arrangement will be an important part of sustaining the restart. Renewed interest can bring players back to the table, but consistent recording is what keeps their results reflected in the league’s standings and history.
For now, the NCBA has growing interest, a presence on Stonks, and two possible dates for getting back underway.
