# NCBA Issues Official Update Ahead of New Season
**NCBA League Update | National Carpet Ball Association**
With the new National Carpet Ball Association season approaching, the NCBA Board is issuing several important updates for players, including the launch of the new NCBA website and a reminder regarding league rules.
## New NCBA Website Launches
The NCBA is pleased to announce the launch of its new official website.
The website will serve as the central home of the National Carpet Ball Association throughout the upcoming season. Players will be able to follow **official rankings, match results, player statistics, tournaments, league records, news and other NCBA information** in one location.
The site will also provide greater access to the history and statistics of the league as the NCBA continues to grow.
Match results and ranking changes will be recorded throughout the season, allowing players to follow the race for #1 as it happens.
## Official Reminder: The Shazam Remains Banned
The NCBA Board is also reminding all players that the throwing technique known as the **Shazam remains prohibited in official NCBA competition**.
The Shazam was created by former #1 player **Asher D.** during the previous season.
Following concerns that the technique could potentially cause injury, the matter was brought before NCBA leadership.
The **NCBA Board voted by majority to ban the Shazam from official competition**.
That decision remains in effect entering the new season.
Players may **not use the Shazam during an official NCBA match or tournament** unless the Board formally changes the rule through a future vote.
The NCBA encourages players to develop strategies and throwing styles of their own, but competitive advantage cannot come at the expense of player safety.
## Preparing for the New Season
Players are encouraged to familiarize themselves with NCBA rules and the league's updated ranking system before competition begins.
The upcoming season will feature official rankings, expanded statistics, tournament competition and continued development of the NCBA website.
